Genpacco, Inc. is a Philippines-based company that has over 30 years experience in tin can manufacturing. It has serviced both local and off-shore clientele in both food and non-food industries. Sanitary cans for the milk powder industry, as well as those in the packed me, vegetables, and liquids. Currently, the company produces cans for the canned pasteurized crab meat industry that has gained a steady market in the United States and an up & coming packed meat & pastry category in Australia.

COMPANY HISTORY

GENPACCO, INC. was formerly the can making plant of Carnation Philippines, Inc. (CPI) producing sanitary cans of various types and sizes mainly catering to the needs of food and pharmaceutical companies.

In July 1985, Carnation Philippines, Inc. stopped operations and closed its main plant after its mother firm in the United States was bought by Nestle of Switzerland. As CPI was disposing all its local assets, a group of former top executives headed by then VP for Finance and Administration Leonardo S. Cansana, purchased CPI’s can making plant. Thus, in August 1985, Genpacco, Inc.. continued operations under new management.

In 1995, GI has moved to its new plant located at Bo. Pittland, Cabuyao, Laguna. Despite stiff competition in the canning industry, management has been successful in maintaining a firm customer base through its strict adherence and dedication to quality and service.

More than 30 years in the tin can manufacturing industry. Genpacco, Inc. is Halal Certified, ISO 9001:2008 Certified and has an established GMP & Food Safety Programme and just towards the end of 2016 has acquired ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System Certification. Genpacco, Inc. is also well on our way to attain FSSC 22000 - a GFSI recognized Food Safety Management System.

Tin Can Manufacturing

Among others, Genpacco, Inc. is capable of producing three-piece sanitary cans which are generally used for milk powder, processed meat products, fish, vegetables, crabmeat, sauces, fruit juices, and beverages.of diameters 52 mm (202), 65 mm (211), 73 mm (300), 83 mm (307), 99 mm (401), 127 mm (502) and 153 mm (603) with can heights based on industry standards or as required by the customer.

The product specifications are based on the industry standard, or as required by the customer. Product specifications may include tinplate, lacquering or lithography, and dimensional specifications.

Lithography

Genpacco, Inc. is equipped with its in-house printing and coating facility to supply the needs of the existing market. Metal decoration provides product visualization, nutritional information, and important product facts via a medium that

is sturdier and more long-lasting than paper labels. The protective coatings utilized also provide protection from corrosion for both the internal and external side of the can.

Metal Fabrication

The Engineering Department (Machine Shop) of the company is capable of fabrication of machine parts and tooling needed by the canning industry.
